Saint Joseph’s Kinney Center for Autism Education and Support educates and trains the autism professionals of tomorrow while supporting and serving individuals and families affected by autism today. Saint Joseph's students have a unique opportunity to benefit from this nationally renowned organization during their time on Hawk Hill.

 

UNPARALLELED TRAINING AND DEGREES IN AUTISM

Saint Joseph’s offers programs for those interested in working in the field of autism. From the nation's first undergraduate major in autism behavioral studies to graduate Autism Behavior Analysis concentrations and a master’s in special education. Coursework is supplemented with unmatched hands-on experience through the Kinney SCHOLARS program, that gives students the opportunity to work directly with individuals on the spectrum.

AUTISM SUPPORT FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS

The Kinney Center’s ASPIRE program provides social supports to Saint Joseph's students with autism spectrum disorder. This program includes individual case management, peer mentorship, time management strategies, independent living and social skills training, and a supported work environment. The ASPIRE college support program boasts an 84% graduation rate, more than double the national average, serves as a national model.

PROGRAMS WITH PROVEN SUCCESS

From transitional programs to summer camp to 1:1 support, Kinney Center programming offers opportunities for individuals of all ages — children, teens, college students and adults — to master new skills and improve their lives.
